After eating our final, hunger-crushing, Elvis-would-be-proud meal (a huge brunch that included the biscuits and gravies above and was PRECEDED by a pre-brunch snack of the pulled pork, also pictured), I didn't eat another bite of anything for about 18 hours. When y'all are fed in Nashville, y'all STAY fed.
Tony, the local phrase is "right satiated", though as a non native I went years wondering why people ended a meal saying that "rats ate it". You do Pancake Pantry proud!
Yesterday (my first day back from 48 hours in Nashville), I felt an overwhelming need to get something for lunch that involved pork (opted for Asian pork buns).
I think my body was actually going through withdrawal.
also... it should be noted that the above photos capture only a small portion of the delicious food that was consumed. The rest never stood a chance to be photographed, due to poor lighting, large appetites, or quick forks.
They say you eat with your eyes first...
I love food. I enjoy making my food pretty, even if it's just for me. When I travel, I always take photos of food.
This blog is really all about sharing my food photos (which have become known among friends as "food porn"), but I will include recipes for the things I've prepared, so you can create them too.
(All photos can be clicked to see them large.)
Bon appetit!
